Seminar: Lesser used remedies & Miasms in historical perspective

Lecturers: Dr. Farhad Adajania & Dr. Jayesh Dhingreja

Due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately the seminar has been canceled. Enrolling for this seminar is not possible anymore.

Introduction

This seminar will be focused on practical application in clinical practice. So the focus is not on experimental theories but on solid information that will improve your knowledge of homeopathy. This does not mean that information that has become recently available will be excluded from the seminar. The speakers skillfully combine the classical knowledge of materia medica with the information available from recent authors and teachers. All cases cannot be treated with a single method. Different approaches of classical homoeopathy will be discussed in an unprejudiced manner.

This seminar is useful for senior students and practising homeopaths. The language of the seminar will be English. Lunch free of charge will be provided to all attendants during the lunch break. A certificate of attendance will be available for all participants. The seminar is accredited by the NVKH (Dutch Association of Classical Homeopathy).

This is the recommendation of Dr. Farokh Master:

"I am pleased to introduce Dr. Farhad J. Adajania and Dr. Jayesh Dhingreja as one of my best colleagues who are working with me since many years. They were instrumental in writing most of my publications. Their highly intuitive and scientific skills have produced some memorable cures. Their in-depth study of Materia-Medica with clinical co-relation and the advanced use of repertory have made them popular not only in India but also abroad. They are the key teachers of my ongoing clinical training programme for International students at the Homoeopathic Health Centre. I strongly recommend this seminar to students and practioner who will greatly benefit from it."

Topics

The topics during the seminar are:

  • Friday 4 May 2007 - Miasms in historical perspective and their use in clinical practice
  • Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 May 2007 - Lesser used remedies with comparative materia medica & cases

The emphasis of the whole seminar is on application in clinical practice.

The topic of 'Miasms in historical perspective and use in clinical practice' is about the changes in perception of miasms according to the development of homeopathy. The speakers will take you through a journey of miasmatic concepts from Hahnemann's times to the contemporary times. For instance, the way Hahnemann thought about the psoric miasm is different than the contemporary views regarding this miasm. During the seminar the historical development of the 4 main miasms will be discussed in an unprejudiced and objective way. The influence of Kent, Allen, Roberts, Sankaran and others on the development of miasms after its initialconception by Hahnemann will be shown during the first day of the seminar. The practical application of miasms in clinical practice will be discussed.

On Saturday and Sunday the topic of 'Lesser used remedies' will be discussed. Remedies that are not often used, but therefore not less useful, are often overlooked. During this seminar a lot of interesting information will be provided so that cases that require these remedies will hopefully not get lost. The materia medica of these lesser used remedies will consist of classical and more contemporary information. The information about these remedies will be backed up with comparative materia medica and paper cases.
